On this post, I would like to share with you 3 cards I made using Stampin’ Up!’s Over The Moon stamp set. These cards are examples of how you can create cards without using dies so it’s perfect for beginners in cardmaking who do not have a lot of supplies and tools yet.
These designs are very minimalist. I only used card stocks and black ink for stamping and a few colors of alcohol markers. But if you like fun and quirky cards, you will definitely fall in love with this stamp set from the 2019-2020 catalogue of Stampin’ Up! It’s got 3 very cute cow images and versatile sentiments.
You can make simple “How are you?” cards, lovey-dovey ones or birthday party themed cards. This is why I love this stamp set.
The first card uses the main theme of the stamp and I think the cow’s really cute! It worked well with the dark blue background. The background was really easy to make even for beginners like me.

I didn’t use dies on the clouds and moon so you can also free-hand create this on white card stock and vellum paper. I created shadows on the moon with a water brush and black ink. Just use random strokes but try to be very gentle and try not to color the edges to give the moon a glowing effect.
Then I embellished it with gems and silver stars. I bought the star punch from Kmart. It comes in a set of 4, with hearts, flowers and butterfly.
The next card is for someone who likes to express love without being mushy and syrupy sweet hehe.

I tried to keep it simple and I find that kraft paper goes really well with red. Again, I didn’t use die cuts on this one.
Finally, the third one uses a patterned background, which I think is also an effective way to make your designs pop without overdoing it. I downloaded the background design from All Free Designs and printed it on a white card stock.

I used the same template on a Thanksgiving card too. Check it out here and see which one you like better.
What did you like best? 🙂 Thanks and see you until my next post!
