Happiness Cards

Last Sunday, we celebrated Australia Day. Because it fell on a Sunday, Monday was declared as a non-working day which means long weekend. Yey!

It was a perfect time to create some happy cards. The first one I made, I used Find A Reason To Smile by Love Cynthia stamps.

I used all of the 3 girls on the stamp and decided to keep it as pink as it could be. One thing that’s lovely about this stamp set is that they’re very nice to color. I used alcohol ink markers to color all 3 girls.

The next card I made is a coffee-themed design. This time, I didn’t use stamps because I don’t have a stamp that’s got a nice big coffee cup. So I had to download and print the background, clipart and sentiment from the internet.

The coffee cards used a pink and kraft color scheme with black lining.

Here is a close up, I added sequins for embellishment.

If I were to use stamps for a coffee themed card next time, I think I will go with Stampin’ Up!’s Coffee Cafe stamps and its matching Coffee Cups Framelits Dies. Too bad, it’s retired so you can only get it on ebay and other private sellers.

To create a nice coffee themed background though, I think I’d like to get Concorde & 9th’s Coffee Blend Turnabout stamp set.
