Quick Cards To Make Using Country Floral Embossing Folder

One of my favourite purchases from Stampin’ Up! is the Country Floral Embossing Folder. Actually, it wasn’t even a purchase because I got for free during one of their Sale-A-Bration promos.

With this embossing folder in my stash, I was able to make beautiful cards in no time. This is a big advantage for me especially since I’m always occupied with my full time work and taking care of my toddler.

So when I have very little free time, I pull this out to make cards I can complete in less than an hour.

It works well with any colour, such as the ones I used above. By inking the side with the indendent impressions, it makes the flowers pop out.

The inks I used were soft shades of balmy blue (Stampin’ Up!) and spun sugar (Distress Ink). But you can use other shades with this technique and still come up with simple and elegant cards. I prefer a monochromatic look so I just used same shade of ribbon, card base and gems.

You can also emboss the cardstock without ink and then paint the flowers afterwards, such as the one I made below.

I used worn lipstick Distress Ink and waterbrush to colour the flowers, granny apple green ink from Stampin’ Up! for the leaves and then espresso brown ink also from Stampin’ Up! to add in the dots randomly.

You can mix and match colours as long as they go together well. I think the pinks, greens and browns complemented each other real. The I used a neutral colour silver for the string.

These are just a few cards you can make with this embossing folder. It’s so versatile and classic, so you can use anytime of the year, for any occasions and it never runs out of style even after years.

I’m planning to use this for my April giveaway. Hope to share them with you soon! 🥰
