Floral Embossed Watercolor Cards

It’s been more than a year now since the COVID outbreak has happened and by now, I think no one has been spared from its negative impacts: Stress from lockdown, job loss, separation from loved ones, losing family and friends. But to add to the already difficult world we’re living in, there’s also dictatorship terrorising not only its direct victims but a lot of concerned people all over the world…

I have no words to describe what the world is going through right now. Still, in this era of so much unrest, we can all just hope and pray for better days to come soon. Indeed, prayers are our best weapon in these challenging times.

Coupled with prayers are random acts of kindness. Sometimes it’s hard to be soft and kind in a world where fault-finding and backstabbing are rampant, but a famous adage that should be applicable from time immemorial assures as of the triumph of good vs evil.

In my attempt to contribute in abating the difficulties, I made these cards for my April #hugsinacard program.

It’s simple and elegantly carries the message that it’s not just a card but virtual hugs.

Sometimes, I forget we’re still in chaos because I’m quite content to be at home (I have always been a homebody even before the pandemic), my mind is occupied with duties from full time work (another factor I am thankful for), my hands are busy with my toddler and because it’s slowly getting more normal in our part of the world.

Lucky there’s internet to still get in touch with people, most especially my friends and relatives who are in the Philippines. My heart goes out to you and I can feel your suffering too.

Here is my simple gesture to let you know that I continue to pray for better days. We are all in this together.
