Lawn Fawn Cards: Hope Your Day Blooms

Hi friends! Today I’m sharing a new card I made featuring a few stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn. Den Sweet Den stamp set has become one of my favourites. It’s such a versatile set which you can use for Mother’s Day, an everyday hello card, and of course, for holidays and Christmas!

I started by cutting a rectangle from a white cardstock, using my largest die from Scrap Dragon A6 double stitched rectangle nesting dies. As you can see, I use this die a lot in my cards 😀

I also used the Lawn Fawn Brick Stencil for the background. I wanted to create a scene where the bears in the Den Sweet Den stamp set would appear to be having a great day as a family in their front yard. For the roof and windows, I used the dies from Lawn Fawn Scallope Treat Box Winter House Add-on.

I had to modify the roof though because the die wasn’t long enough for the panel. The process messed up the upper part of the roof but I covered that with a piece of same coloured cardstock hehe. Then I just added some curtains on the windows from my leftover scraps. I attached the roof using a foam adhesive and then I glued the windows.

For the grass part, I cut a piece of apple green cardstock as wide as the panel, and then I used a grass border die to cut the top part. I added some shading and grass details with various green alcohol markers on the cardstock before adhering it at the bottom with a liquid glue.

Then I stamped all the images I wanted to use on a separate white cardstock. The flowers were from Lawn Fawn Garden Before ‘n Afters, the bears from Den Sweet Den, while the bee and tiny floweres were from Lawn Fawn Berry Special. I coloured them using alcohol ink markers sticking to the colour theme of pinks, yellows, and aquas. Then I fussy cut using Paper Snips from Stampin’ Up! I posted on my previous blog before the supplies and tools I used for cardmaking.

Before I adhered all the images, I stamped a sentiment first. This particular sentiment I used says “hope your day blooms with happiness,” which was also from Lawn Fawn Garden Before ‘n Afters set. The stamps set has other fun sentiments suitable for many occasions so it’s nice to have it in your stash.

I adhered the panel on a white cardstock, and for final touch, I added some Nuvo glitters on the flowers and some highlights using my white gel pen.

I hope you liked this design! Den Sweet Den is intended for a fall or winter theme, such as Christmas, but I realised it also works for summer and spring too! It’s also a great set to have in your collection.
