Hello everyone! I’m back with another post today, a cardmaking project which I have submitted for Penguin Palace challenge #23. The theme is spring moodboard using the following colour palette:

I was inspired by a fellow Instagram cardmaker when I saw a post of her hexagonal pop up card so I decided to use my Lawn Fawn platform pop up die for this handmade card design.
To make this pop up card, first, I die cut the biggest die on a coloured cardstock (Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay A4 cardstock) as well as 3 of the T-shaped dies. These pieces form the main platform box card.

Next, I also used the add on grass die cut and made 2 pieces on a Granny Apple Green cardstock. Actually, for the 2nd piece, I decided to attach a smaller piece just to extend the grass on the T-shaped die that was attached in the middle of the platform pop up card. I inked the top of the grass with Granny Apple Green ink to add some dimension.
For the sentiment, I cut a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock and heat embossed it in white powder. I cut the upper corners round with a puncher. I attached the sentiment on the front T-shaped die piece.

I stamped the image from A Better Place on a smooth white cardstock then coloured it with alcohol ink markers. I also stamped just the plant image twice. Then I fussy cut the images and attached them onto the T-pieces of the platform pop up card.

Alcohol markers used (I’ve listed the shades from darkest to lightest):
- Greens – Ohuhu GY2, GY3, GY4
- Blues (hat, head scarf, girl boots) – Ohuhu PB6, PB8, B070, B050, B030
- Boy jumper – Ohuhu PB6, PB8, B070, B050, B030 I added gray on top of the blue MG060, BGII03, MG020
- Girl dress – Ohuhu MG060
- Watering can – Ohuhu G360, G340, G120
- Skin – Copics E13, E11, E00, E000
- Hair – Creative PL WG8, WG6, WG4 Ohuhu WG3, WG050
As a final touch, I added a dark blue strip around the platform pop up as well as bow on the front. These features are included as add-ons in the Lawn Fawn platform pop up die set.
