Hello friends! Today, I’m sharing a pop up box card I made as card commission. My very dear friend in church has a daughter who got married recently. She showed me the invitation, which was in gold and white, and so I decided I’d create this handmade wedding card in the same colour scheme.
I used MFT Outside The Box Level Up die-namics but I modified the arched back part a bit. Instead of cutting all the way to the flat bottom part, I left it uncut when I ran it under my die cut machine. Then I extended the bottom to make it longer. I wanted the back to be as tall as the bride & groom images I will be using which is a digital stamp set designed by Isabel Cristina.

I formed the pop up box card first using a thick white cardstock. I added 2 insert tabs for this design. For the inner arch, I embossed it with a quilted die and then I pasted it onto a gold glitter cardstock for outline. I did the same for both sides of the box card for added design.
Then I cut some flowers using the layering flower dies from Scrap Dragon. I made many pieces from a white bond paper so I could curl the edges and stack them together to give the flowers some dimension. For the centrepiece, I attached a half gold pearls with liquid glue.
I also added leaves of different shapes cut in gold cardstock. I attached the flowers and leaves on the back part and the first insert but I left the second insert tab free. This is where I wanted to attach the bride and groom image. I coloured digital stamp images with alcohol ink markers and fussy cut them after.

Alcohol markers ink used:
I printed the bride & groom’s name on a thick white cardstock, cut it using the die cut for sentiments included in the MFT Outside The Box Level Up die-namics then I added an outline with a gold glitter cardstock, before I attached it at the front.
For the back part, I made a pocket out of vellum paper where I could insert an arched cardstock where my friend could write her personal message. The cardstock opens at the flat bottom end and is printed with the words, “wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness.”
