Hi friends! Just sharing a quick post about my last papercrafting DIY for my little girl’s Princess Jasmine themed birthday. I made these tags and cupcake toppers for her 5th birthday, which we celebrated low key this year.

To create the tags, I printed “Darla is turning” on an A4 smooth white cardstock. I cut the tags using my tags die cut. I used 2 A4 cardstocks to make 16 in all. Then I ink blended the background with Salvaged Patina distress oxide and Highland Heather Stampin’ Up! ink. After which, I also splattered some metallic gold paint. Then I added a cut out of Princess Jasmine on the bottom right, which was printed on a cardstock, and then I added a die cut of the number 5 in gold cardstock, next to Princess Jasmine.

For the cupcake topper, I printed the design on a white cardstock. Then I fussy cut all 16 circles and glued them onto a scalloped frame gold cardstock.
Since I was pushed for time, I tried to design my DIY tags and cupcake topper in as simple a process as possible.

Here is my little girl in her Princess Jasmine costume. I put on a black long sleeved shirt under the top because it’s gotten really cold here now. And then I decided to change her pants into simple black leggings as well because she couldn’t run around in the fancy pants without tripping.

We brought cupcakes from Woolies and I also made loot bags for Darla’s classmates in pre-school. I tied the tags on the loot bags with a golden cord. I used a cake pop stick for the cupcake toppers.
