Penguin Palace – In Love With London Digital Stamps

Penguin palace stamps coffee themed card in love with london digital stamps

Hello friends! I’m so glad to be back with a cafe themed card, which I have been wanting to make for a long time. Thanks to In Love With London digital stamps from Penguin Palace Stamps, I was able to materialize what I have in mind.

As usual, this design is a pop up card, because I just love dimensional cards! And I’m using again one of my most favourite crafting materials, MFT Outside the Box dies! I cut out the body of the card using Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake A4 cardstock, but I used a smooth white cardstock for the inserts and the brick background.

I created the simple back drop using Lawn Fawn brick stencil, in Blushing Bride (SU Ink) and Antique Linen (Distress Ink). Then, for the inner insert, I attached a cafe counter out of a dark brown cardstock with kraft brown piece of cardstock to line the top. I also scored some vertical lines on the cafe counter for a timber effect.

All of the images were from In Love With London digital stamps except for the pie, frame, and mini fridge. The mini fridge was also from Penguin Palace digital stamps but a different set while the pie and frame were clear stamps I already have in my stash.

I coloured the images with Ohuhu and Copic alcohol markers:

  • Reds – (from darkest to lightest) Ohuhu R12, RV270, RV260)
  • Table, chairs, and frame – Ohuhu E310, E170, E380
  • Hair and plant pot – Ohuhu YR260, Y260, Y230
  • Pie – Ohuhu YR170, YR260
  • Tea cups and plant – Ohuhu GY42, GY8, GY7
  • Sugar jar – Ohuhu BBG4, BG3
  • Greys – Ohuhu RG030, RG110
  • Skin – Copic E11, E00, E000

The sentiment on the frame is from Lawn Fawn Special Delivery stamps embossed with white embossing powder while TIME TO CELEBRATE! is from Cuckoo For You, a retired stamp set from SU.

I added some tiny rhinestones for the frame and the bows to finish off the card. It added some interest to an otherwise very rustic look. What do you think? 😉
