Hello bluebird strawberry basket dies cardmaking idea

Hello friends! This post is an extension of my previous write up about our strawberry themed birthday party. It’s a cardmaking project for Darla’s friends, of course, in strawberry theme! And what perfect set to use than Hello Bluebird’s Strawberry Basket Dies. I made two of these handmade cards for the twins and they’re so pretty even though the cards were not my usual pop up cards.

I used the 2 largest strawberry dies and only needed to run them twice under the die cutting machine using double cardstocks for each run. I had 8 strawberry die cuts in all but only used 7 of them. I stacked the strawberry die cuts just above the opening of the basket which I cut using a silver cardstock.

I covered the back of the basket with a piece of cardstock which I coloured by brushing lightly with Real Red ink from Stampin’ Up! Then I attached it over the bottom of the strawberry pile.

On top of the basket, I added the Happy Birthday word dies. Happy from was Lawn Fawn Happy Happy die cuts and the word birthday die cut was from Scrapdragon.

Then I added the pink flowers which were cut from the same Hello Bluebird die set and glued some white pearls in the middle of the flowers. Here is a close up look of the card and just how wonderful and bright the red strawberries were.
