Hello friends! I can’t believe it’s the last days of June already. This month was really busy so I’m glad I managed to make another card just before it ends. Today’s cardmaking project is a pop up box card for a plant lover. My friend at work whose birthday is in June as well is a green thumb and Lawn Fawn Plant-A-Succulent was just perfect for this handmade card design.

I have to admit, this card design involved much brainstorming and process but I was quite pleased with the final outcome. I didn’t use any specialty dies to create the pop up box card either. You can refer to my previous post on how to make pop up cards where I posted a tutorial on different kinds of pop up cards without specialty dies. The box card was cut from an A4 Crumb Cake Stampin’ Up! cardstock. Using a blending brush and Soft Suede ink from Stampin’ Up! I created a brick background with the help of Lawn Fawn Brick Stencil. Meanwhile, I used Hello Bluebird Old Oak Background stamp to create the wooden look.

The white fence at the back stands on one of the inserts and was made by combining MFT Outside the Box Level Up (I cut the inside to leave just the arch) and Poppystamps Double Diamond Lattice. The plant pots were from Lawn Fawn Plant-A-Succulent as well as the Snake Plant. I coloured the pots with Brushing Bride and the leaves with Mint Macaron. Both inks were from Stampin’ Up! I used various other dies from my stash for the other details. The house for example. t’s actually part of a village but I used it as desk decoration.

For the front of the card, I combined one of the dies from Stampin’ Up! Stitched So Sweetly dies with a rectangular scalloped die from ScrapDragon, and then I stamped the sentiment in white embossing powder. The sentiment was from Lawn Fawn Garden Before and After stamp set.
