Hello friends! Cobra Kai season 6 has just been released, and our whole family was very excited. We’ve mustered all our energy not to watch the entire first batch of 5 episodes in one sitting. We’re down to our last one until the 2nd batch in November. Here is a card design I made to tribute both Johnny Lawrence and Daniel Larusso.
A few weeks back, I saw an instagram post from a fellow cardmaker, Sue. She used Lawn Fawn platform pop up dies to create a trophy and this gave me an idea to re-create the Karate Kid All Valley tournament trophy.
The trophy is very simple as it only needs brown and gold. I searched the cup and crane kick silhouette from the internet and printed it off the back of a gold cardstock. I fussy cut the image and scored the lines for details. The eagle was also printed off from the internet. Initially, I thought I’d use the gold backside but the printed image looked better.
Creating the columns was not that difficult however, placing the cup trophy in the middle top of the columns proved to be challenging. After some trial and error, I was able to make a bridge in between the 2 columns. I attached the middle brown piece of cardstock by cutting its ends and then slipping these ends through the bridges. I also used an acetate tab that’s attached to the platform to make the trophy sturdy.
At the front, I just added 1st in gold cardstock, and the trophy was done. I think it’s a fun card and I enjoyed making it. I had to wait for Cobra Kai to come out though before posting it. 🥰❤️
