It’s the last day of September! I’m sharing another graduation card I made for a friend’s daughter. She wanted a bigger sized card so I made this A5 sized. I kept the frontt design simple: a cap with a realistic tassel, “Congratualtions” stamped on a wavy banner, 2024 number dies, and some white and gold bokeh dots and abstract lines.

The card opens up into a shadow box inside of a graduation stage. The curtains were made from red cardstock. I used Lawn Fawn Window Frame dies and Mama Elephant Window Dressing for the upper part.

I created a lighting effect for the background using Tsukineko White pigment ink and a stencil I made myself. Then I added some gold star and round sequins for embellishment. I also made the platform of the stage pop up using a kraft brown cardstock for contrast.

The girl and the flowers were drawings I designed myself. With my daughter’s help, we turned it into digital images . I coloured them with coloured pencils.

And here are more photos of the card. It’s minimalistic but very special at the same time. Graduation is a very important milestone and I wanted to create a design suited just for that. I added a white piece at the empty space to write personal messages.

Here is a video of the card. Hope you like this design!
