Hello friends! I’m sharing my last handmade Christmas card design for this year’s holiday season. It’s a shadow box that features bunnies from Hello Bluebird Deck the Tree stamp set. I didn’t place a tree though, instead I pictured a nice neighbourly scene among the bunny friends as they share their blessings to each other.

This DIY Christmas pop up card is a shadow box using Stampin’ Up! cardstock in Balmy Blue colour. The front/back dimensions of the card is 4 1/8 x 4 1/2 inches while the sides are both 1 inch wide. You can create 2 shadow boxes easily from half of an A4 cardstock if you cut it lengthwise in the centre. The background I used was a gift wrapping paper with silver foil snowflakes but I think it would also be nice to replace this with a light skyblue background with soft snowfall. You can sprinkle some pearl iridiscent watercolour for some sparkle.

I only had one insert from the inside since 1 inch is just enough space. The soft snow covered ground acts as the insert tab so I just had to attach the grey brick wall behind it. Then I added another snow ground at the front. I inked the top with Balmy Blue ink from Stampin’ Up! I created the brick wall using stencil from Lawn Fawn and Basic Grey ink also from Stampin’ Up!

I stamped the images from Hello Bluebird stamp sets with Sahara Sand ink from Stampin’ Up! so that the lines aren’t too prominent. I used light soft colours for the images to make the dark green holly leaves at the corners and the sentiment too. Here is a summary of the supplies used for this card:
- Balmy blue A4 cardstock – SU
- Basic white A4 cardstock – SU
- Ink pads – SU
- Hello Bluebird Deck the Halls stamp set
- Lawn Fawn Brick Stencil
- MFT Christmas Wishes stamp set
