There’s something magical about sharing a warm cup of coffee with someone special. Inspired by cozy café dates, I designed this handmade coffee-themed pop-up card that’s perfect for couples. The outside looks like a charming coffee shop, and when opened, it reveals a pop-up scene of a couple enjoying coffee together.
Whether you’re looking for a romantic handmade card for an anniversary, Valentine’s Day, or a coffee lover’s birthday, this unique design captures the warmth and intimacy of a shared coffee moment.

Why You’ll Love This Handmade Coffee-Themed Card
- Unique 3D Pop-Up Feature – The inside of the card surprises the recipient with a pop-up couple enjoying their coffee date.
- Charming Coffee Shop Exterior – The front of the card mimics a café with brick-textured details and a cozy window scene.
- Beautiful Blue and Brown Color Theme – Inspired by the rich tones of coffee and calming café vibes.
- Personalized Digital Prints – The artwork featured in this card was designed by my daughter, making it truly one-of-a-kind.

Supplies Needed to Create This DIY Coffee Lover’s Card
To bring this vision to life, I used high-quality crafting supplies:
- Lawn Fawn Brick Stencil Set – for realistic coffee shop brick wall texture
- Stampin’ Up Cardstocks – for the base and layering elements
- Mama Elephant Die Cut Window – to create the café storefront
- Stampin’ Up Die Cut Alphabet – for the café signage
- Digital Prints Designed by my daughter for Hugs in a Card – for unique and personalized elements

How to Make a Handmade Coffee-Themed Pop-Up Card
Step 1: Creating the Coffee Shop Exterior
- Start with a kraft cardstock base and create a brick background using a brush tool and Early Espresso ink (Stampin Up) and Lawn Fawn brick stencil.
- I used the Brown and Blue digital papers from Hugs in a Card for the shop awning and flower box.
- Die-cut a window and flowers using the Mama Elephant Die Cuts and place a curtain behind the window.
- I added COFFEE to the storefront using Stampin’ Up’s Die Cut Alphabet, making it look like a real coffee shop.
Step 2: Designing the Pop-Up Coffee Date Scene
- For the inside, create a pop-up table using one of the digital papers from Hugs in a Card. I printed it on cardstock and also glued a wallpaper.
- Position a couple enjoying coffee at the table using an old stamp set.
- I added sentiments printed on a white cardstock and fussy cut with scissors.
- I coloured the couple image using the same colour scheme: blue, brown, light pink, and sage green.
