Hello friends! I’m back with a new pop-up card design suitable for a friend for any occasion. The world is currently challenging right now with so many people struggling for various reasons. One day, I saw an encouraging meme on my Facebook feed that goes with this message: Here, take my belief in you until you can find yours.
I thought it would be nice to turn this into a card. The front design is the same as the pearl purplish sky inside. To create this effect, I blended purple and greys using my ink pads and blending brushes. For the purple hue, I used Stampin Up Heather Highland ink pad and for the grey, I sued Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.
Also using a blending brush, I added a white pearl powder on top very lightly for a pearlescent effect. I used a white gel pen to add shimmering stars and also some rhinestones and silver star sequins. The word HELLO is from Poppystamps die set and the word friend was from Altenew Thank You For Being My Friend die set.
I drew the images of the bunny, unicorn, and log myself, and coloured them using Ohuhu Alcohol Ink Markers. I used a prop behind the log for a pop-up mechanism to give the inside scene some dimension. You can refer to my pop-up card tutorial on how to create this pop-up mechanism.
