Poppystamps Challenge – Die Cuts Only

Concord and 9th Cardstacks base dies thanksgiving diy card ideas

Hello everyone! Today is 2nd day of thanksgiving in Church and I was inspired to make this thank you card. It’s a pop up card in soft autumn colours using Concord and 9th Cardstacks Base dies.

I cut the half circle die on a smooth white cardstock while the stacks of base dies on a Crumb Cake A4 cardstock both from Stampin’ Up! The background was blended using Distress Ink Antique Linen at the bottom and Blushing Bride SU ink at the top.

I also added the brich trees from Hello Bluebird. I kept them white to stand out against the blended ink.

The leaves and hedgehog were various dies from Poppystamps. I cut them on smooth white cardstock and coloured them with watercolour. I added a touch of metallic gold paint on the leaves for some shimmer.

The sentiment were cut from a black cardstock. I used the Happy Thanksgiving dies from Poppystamps but I replaced the Happy word with Lawn Fawn dies because the one from Poppystamps was too tall. I cut a triangle opening in the letter A, because I didn’t use the coordinating stamp set – since this is a Die Cuts Only challenge. 😉

Then I added the pink flowers from Lawn Fawn dies, added flat backed faux pearls at the centre, and then embellished the background with copper sequins.
